Geomet (NO Cr) Surface Finish using in brake disc

ICAP refers that environmental governance remains a double-edged sword for human life safety, yet Geomet painting typifies how technological innovation can address critical environment needs for producing car parts while minimizing ecological impact.

Geomet painting is an anti-corrosion treatment that provides lubrication and anti-corrosion for brake disc surface. It is an eco-friendly surface treatment technology using in brake disc to replace DACROMET. It provides protection for the material matrix from four aspects.

Barrier protection: The treated zinc and aluminum scale layers act as a superior barrier, blocking corrosive media and depolarizing agents from reaching the substrate.

Electrochemistry: Zinc layer corrodes as a sacrificial anode to protect the steel substrate.

Passivation: Metal oxides produced by passivation slow down the corrosion reaction rate of zinc and steel.

Self-healing: Zinc oxides and carbonates migrate to the damaged areas of the coating and actively repair the coating, restoring the protective barrier in case of coating damaged.
